Richard House Children's Hospice

London's first children's hospice, Richard House, is purpose-built to care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

"We are here to help these children and young people make the most of the time they have, providing the opportunity for play and recreational activities and offering support and accommodation for parents and siblings," says Peter Ellis, Cheif Executive. "Our care facilities are, at present, almost totally paid for through charitable donations and those people who need our services need pay nothing for the care and support that we provide."

Richard House works in partnership with families and the focus is very much about being with each family and child, sharing and enhancing their journey whilst they are at the hospice. Whist their children are visiting the hospice, families are very welcome to stay and share in the experience. There are dedicated facilities such as a lounge and kitchen, exclusively for their use, as well as two family flats that offer excellent self-contained accommodation.

Richard House is UK Registered Charity 1059029.
