Rosalind is LOPO's General Manager. She read music at Royal Holloway College, University of London, combined with part-time violin studies at the Guildhall School of Music with Prof. Max Morgan and conducting with James Blair, Lawrence Leonard and a masterclass course with Norman del Mar.
Rosalind played in the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra and took part in several British and world premieres. After graduation she worked in various admin posts at the BBC including the BBC Radio Orchestra, BBC Proms and Radio 3. A period of freelancing, teaching and further studies followed in Scotland before a life-changing conducting masterclass with Maestro Bruno Weil in Vienna in 1991. As a result, Rosalind moved to the continent to pursue a career in arts management.
She has worked for the Mozartfest Schwetzingen, agencies in Baden Baden, Lucerne and Flensburg but primarily in Dessau near Berlin and from 2000 in Vienna. Rosalind has organised musical events with many organisations in Brazil, Uruguay, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, Switzerland, England, Austria, Spain, Germany, Slovakia and the USA as well as providing extensive artist support including CD production, concert management, education projects, PR and musical research.
Rosalind is a professional member of the American Symphony Orchestra League and her hobbies include cooking, reading German literature, hiking and travelling.
